PR Release

We are chuffed to learn that we have been shortlisted for Startup of the Year in The Guardian’s Small Business Showcase

Wesley Rashid, co-founder of The Accountancy Cloud, explains why the business should win the Startup of the Year category of the Guardian Small Business Showcase competition:

‘The Accountancy Cloud are tech start up accountants. We aim to help build the tech start up community and become the go-to firm for outsourced accounting and finance solutions.

Since incorporating July 2014, we’ve helped raise £5.8m of investment, and have worked with some of the UKs’ brightest start ups. We want to ensure our founders work with partners who have the best of our talent, and understand our approach – we are accounting partners that are entrepreneurs at heart and extremely passionate about the industry.

We have so far won Deal maker of the Year 2015 (Finance Monthly), Finance Adviser of the Month (April 2015), as well as having been showcased at Global Entrepreneurship Week 2015. Our services are delivered online via our online accounting platform to ensure real time advice based on regular maintenance of financial data, to make sure we can support start ups along their high-growth journey.

We have a team of nine qualified experts, headed up by Wesley Rashid, who is ex-Grant Thornton and Accenture and Tax Partner Stephen Hanlon, ex-Ernst and Young. The co-founders are supported by five qualified accountants and two qualified payroll members all of whom have a vast experience of working with start ups. We are a growing ambitious team.’
